Saljenbadet

Bathing place at the lake Saljen

The small bathing place Saljenbadet is located on the southern shore of the lake Saljen near the village of Stenberga, about 30 kilometres from Vetlanda, in the very east of Vetlanda Kommun.

From the small sandy beach, you have a beautiful view of the lake and the nearby island Korsholmarna. The lake Saljen is about 750 hectares in size and up to 22 metres deep. It is therefore also popular for fishing.

A long bathing jetty with a ladder leads you directly into the deeper water, while the shore is relatively shallow and also suitable for small children. The jetty can also be used in the winter months.

Saljenbadet, a bathing spot in the forest

The narrow lawn does not offer much space, but not many visitors come to this secluded bathing spot. The tall trees along the shore give the impression of a lonely forest lake, even though the Saljen is a bit too large for that.

In addition to a few benches, the bathing place offers changing cabins, a toilet and a barbecue area.
