Knapelid

Lookout at Bodaholm

The lookout Knapelid on a rocky massif offers a breathtaking view over the Rottnen, the fourth largest lake in the province Kronoberg with an area of almost 33 square kilometers.

Knapelid is located near Bodaholm, about 5 kilometers north of Linneryd and can be reached really easy and without effort from the road. On the west side of the lookout point you will find the picturesque embedded lake Tomtsjön. There is also beautiful hiking trail along the 900 meters long lake, which is connected via a short canal with the Rottnen.

In the early 20th century, there was a steamship for more than 40 years, which was going through the canal to Hovmantorp at the northern end of the Rottnen.
