Historical bridge near Blidingsholm

Blidingsholmsbron is a beautiful stone arch bridge from the 19th century. It is crossing the Mörrumsån near Blidingsholm, around 5 kilometers north of Ryd.

The rubble stone bridge with eight arches is in this size the best preserved bridge in Kronoberg and one of the most beautiful bridges in Småland. The Blidingsholmsbron was built at a time when horse-drawn carriages were the only rolling transportation. Today, the Blidingsholmsbron has long been freed from the burden of road traffic - these rolls a hundred meters down river along the country road 120.
