Hasse & Tage-Museet

Film museum in Tomelilla

The small film museum Hasse & Tage-Museet is located in the centre of Tomelilla, the central town of the municipality Tomelilla Kommun and commemorates the comedian duo Hans "Hasse" Alfredson (1931 - 2017) and Tage Danielsson (1928 - 1985), who are very famous in Sweden.

The Hasse & Tage-Museet is located right next to a railway crossing and is housed in a small brick building that once used to be the staircase to a pedestrian subway. The museum is just 17 square metres in size and is also described by the operators as the smallest film museum in the world.

A good dozen screens are used to show the numerous films and sketches of the two comedians, and in glass cases, cupboards and drawers, props, manuscripts, posters and photographs tell of the success story of the comedy duo, who became an unforgettable part of the Swedish entertainment industry over a period of more than 30 years.

The museum is only open during the summer half-year and, due to its small size, can only be visited by a maximum of eight people at a time. Therefore, there can be waiting times of 30 to 60 minutes when visiting. In the house right next to the museum there is a café and a souvenir shop with lots of souvenirs of the two artists' life's work.
