Medieval fortified church in Hossmo
Hossmo Kyrka was built around 1120. It is the church of the small village Hossmo, about 10 kilometers southwest of Kalmar. Around 1240, the masonry of the church was reinforced and the upper floor was loopholed. It was converted into a fortified church, a combination of church and small fortress.
