Former old town of Kalmar

Gamla Stan is the former medieval city center of Kalmar in the immediate vicinity of the Kalmar Slott. The structure of the old town with its narrow alleys consists of pretty little wooden houses today, which were built as summer houses by wealthy Kalmar citizens in the 18th century.
