Gamla Vattentornet

Old water tower in Trelleborg

The old water tower stands at the city park of Trelleborg, and is with a total height of 58 meters the highest building in the city.

The symbol of the city was built in 1911 according to plans by the Stockholm architect Ivar Tenbom and was in operation until 1971.

Although the tower is described as a beautiful viewing platform, it is not accessible to the public. At the foot of the old tower there is the café Vattentornet. It is located in a round glass pavilion with a beautiful view of the city park.
