Hammarsbadet
Popular beach in Gamleby
Hammarsbadet is a family-friendly and well-equipped beach in Gamleby, located at the end of the kilometer-long bay Gamlebyviken, about 24 kilometers northwest of Västervik.
The bathing place Hammarsbadet is located directly at the family camping KustCamp Gamleby and consists of a long sandy beach with a gently sloping shore and a large lawn with some shady trees.
The special feature of this bathing place is that there is a small lagoon with shallow water especially for younger children. Otherwise, the beach is very well equipped. There are several bathing bridges, one marks the non-swimmer area. Another jetty leads to a diving tower with diving boards at two, five and ten meters height.
There is also a small children's playground, a beach volleyball court and boat rental. On the adjacent campsite are snack bar and ice cream shop and the toilets there are also available to the beach visitors.
